This weekend, we picked up our four ewe lambs that Waylon will get to enjoy for the summer. Of course, he was in charge of names. He chose three of his favorite "girls" from the cartoons -- June (Little Einsteins), Minnie (Minnie Mouse) and Ming Ming (Wonder Pets). And, his favorite preschool teacher was the inspiration for the fourth lamb -- Mrs. Brown. :) I sent Mrs. Brown a note, saying she may be experiencing a "first" as a preschool teacher -- having a four-legged creature being named after her. She said she's flattered, and, no, she's never had a sheep named after her! :)
We feel so blessed to be able to have a few animals on our place, so that our kids can enjoy the "livestock life" that Craig and I grew up loving.
